Of interest is "Full House Kiss" by Yuwa Shiori.

It has romance, comedy and a nice dash of daring characters.

Definately something I am going to keep an eye on.

Skip Beat by Yakamura Noshiki is very good. It has great character development and an intense plot. I am still reading this series and it does not disapoint. The start is a bit slow, but by the middle it is getting really good. It is also airing as an anime now, though I think the manga is better by far.

Boku ni Natta Watashi

When I first read the introduction of Boku ni Natta Watashi by Ako Shimaki the first thing that went through my mind was "Hana Kimi".

For Boku ni Natta Watashi is extremely similar. Both manga's have gender bender elements in that a girl hides her gender and secretly attends an all boys school. Furthermore, in both mangas the main character is placed as a roomate with the male character she likes/will grow to like.

In terms of humour, Hana Kimi wins by far. In terms of having a girl character that is pretty interesting Boku ni Natta Watashi comes in a draw with Hana Kimi.

I have to say that I found Momoko from Boku to be more interesting in her character development then Hana Kimi.

Rate: 3.5/5 A good read but it loses points for heavy intertextuality from Hana Kimi

Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume by Matsuzuki Kou 4.5/5

Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume is a shoujo/comedy/cooking manga by M. Kou.

This drama centers on a young high school girl that moves out of her home when her mother remarries. Uru gets along very well with her mother, but does not want to impose on her mother and new father. Uru starts to work at a pastery cafe with two eccentric but handsome men and quickly this cooking based drama engages in pastery fun.

I would recommend this manga for anyone that just likes a slight hint of romance, not too heavy. Futhermore, there is no ecchi/fan service in this manga which in my mind is great.

Faster than a Kiss by Meca Tanaka 5/5

Faster than a Kiss by Meca Tanaka covers the story of a highschool girl and her younger brother as they experience life. Having no place to go after their parents died and their relatives made them unhappy, Kaji is found by her high school Teacher Ma-kun. Ma offers to marry her and quickly Kaji and her brother Teppei adjust to living with Ma.

This manga is really fun to read, with slight romantic interchanges and a light comedy throughout. I would seriously recommend this manga for anyone to read if they just want a light comedy with a soft romantic theme. Family based drama also gives it a depth that makes a reader want to read more.

Manga: No Bra (Gender Bender Manga 2.5/5)

No Bra by Kawatsu Kenjiro is based on a school life triangle with elements of fan service in a gender bender theme.

The main character Ma self indentifies himself as male and through the process of the manga comes into conflicts over his attraction to his other male friend Yuki who cross dresses as a girl. This situation if further complicated as Ma comes to date one of popular girls at school while still wrestling with his internal feelings for his male but "female self Id" friend Yuki.

Though there is little plot development, the struggles that the main character has in regards to self gender IDs and physical gender IDs is create interesting. The graphics are okay and while the plot doesnt have many surprises it still can pull a reader in.

I would recommend this manga for anyone who enjoys fan service and wants an easy comedy to read with a bit of gender-bender character. I rate this manga 2.5 out of 5, biased because I wish there had been more depth to the character development in the manga and less fan service.
